Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cyril Andrews can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Daphne Evans
Condolence:
My brother Cyril, was the "life" of our family of eight children and two wonderful parents. Beloved by every member of our Dad's Presbyterian congregation for his mischief making as much as his endearing qualities. For me he was the greatest influence and supporter of the educational choices I made which became the bases of a successful and overwhelmingly satisfying career in teaching. Even now, at the age of 84, when I listen to music - Jazz in particular I reflect on the splendid social life I enjoyed from age 17 when I left boarding school until now, which I attribute to the preparation I got from him and his dance coaching coupled with the warning that the highest standard of behavior was what was expected of me and that no excuses or compromises would be acceptable. Such a brother!!! Every girl should have such a one. A grateful sister, Daphne

Condolence: Almost a year has passed and you are still missed immensely. Rarely a day passes that I don't think of an ANDYism. On this day of Thanksgiving, the day you left us last year it's hard to be happy but then when you think of Cyril Nathan Andrews, his smile, his life lessons etc. You have no choice but to think happy thoughts. Gone from our daily life but not gone from our hearts. Always loving you Uncle Andy xoxo

Condolence: I became a friend of Andy's in the 1960s when I found my second home at the Elegant Parlour. Andy was an extraordinary man, able to walk many paths, accepted by all and appreciated by many. Our friendship continued through the years, although we didn't see each other very often.

Words are inadequate to express what a special human being Andy was. Clear-headed, kind, sensuous, intelligent, funny, elegant, vibrant.... were only a few of his character traits. I have always considered him to be a special person in my life, one of my teachers.
And I will always treasure my memories of Andy.

My heart goes out to Andy's family who have held him close for so many years, especially during his last years which presented many personal challenges.
