Obituary for Mason Edmund Ramsay
It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of a truly great gentleman. Three weeks short of his 96th birthday.
Mason is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of 45 years. Also, by his daughter, Susan, and three grandchildren, Curtis, Matthew, and Michael all of Belgium. He is also survived by his three sons from a previous marriage, Patrick, Kevin, and Graham.
Mason was always and forever a quiet, graceful and gentle man. He lived a wonderful and fulfilling life nearly always able to do what he loved best. After a tour of duty in WW2, Mason received his ticket in diesel engineering which led to his long career in heavy equipment sales. He retired from Finning Tractor in 1987. He said he loved every day of it and many say that Mason’s blood was Caterpillar yellow.
Mason loved the outdoors – skiing, boating, golfing and fishing were his passions, enjoying these pursuits well into his 80’s.
At Mason’s request there is no formal service planned. In memory of Mason, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
