Born August 15, 1924 in Kolin, Czechoslovakia, passed away on May 12, 2016 at Lions Gate Hospital. Predeceased by her husband, Milan, in 2005 and her beloved shih tzu, Max, in 2015. Survived by her children - Michele (Rick), Monica (Gil), Mark (Tanis), and Martin (Lesley), her grandchildren Sarah (Lawson), Tess, Brittany (Shawn), Julie (Chester), David (Jieun), Chris, Petra and Will and her very special great-grandson, Henry. Her dedication to a healthy lifestyle resulted in her enjoying skiing, swimming and tennis into her early eighties. She inspired her children and grandchildren with her love of the outdoors and physical activity. An accomplished watercolour artist, she was an adventurous learner into her nineties. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church, 2347 Inglewood Avenue, West Vancouver on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the church. Flowers gratefully declined, instead a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
