McLALLEN, William Henry Jr. (Bill)

Born in Vancouver, BC on January 4, 1942 to W.H. McLallen and Bessie Hager
McLallen, Bill died peacefully at North Shore Hospice amidst the tenderness
of his large adoring family on October 8, 2015. Predeceased by his parents
as well as the mother of his four daughters Alison Burns Speer, Bill is
survived by his beloved wife Sharon of 32 years, four loving daughters,
Ashley (Michael) Horowitz, Tyler (Adam)Johnson, Raegan (Steve)Pipkey and
Whitney McLallen, three sisters, Frances (Roy)Meeks, Wendy Roberts and Vicki
Mason, six nieces and nephews, and seven cherished grandchildren. Bill's
love and caring of Sharon and his family was always his foremost priority.
He was a gentleman, a man of honour and strong principles, a lover of life
and all things outdoors, knowledgeable, articulate, thoughtful, humorous,
and generous to a fault. Bill was a great conversationalist and story
teller, a superb host and chef, and a fighter to the end of his wonderful
life. Heartfelt thanks to Bill's G.P. Dr. Peter Schwarz, Oncologists Dr.
Paul Klimo, Dr. Sasha Smiljanic and Dr. Paul Sugar, the many doctors and
nurses at Lions Gate Hospital and North Vancouver Cancer Clinic that
attended Bill over the last five years, as well as all the gentle care
givers at North Shore Hospice. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at
Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd., N. Vancouver on Friday,
October 23, 2015 at 2 o'clock.
