LAURIE ( nee RICHINSON ) , NORMA
September 29 , 1936 - October 03 , 2015
Norma passed away peacefully at her home in West Vancouver BC, on the afternoon of October 3rd surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband Brian after 57 years of marriage, her son Scott and two daughters Elizabeth(Dennis) and Suzanne(Ryan). She also had six grandchildren Gregory, Bradley, Nikolas, Jessica, Rebecca and Deion.
Her surviving family in England includes her sister Shirley and brother in law Vic, brother in laws James and Ian and their families.
Norma came to Canada in 1967 with Brian and her first two children settling in Southern Ontario. In 1969, Suzanne was born and all the family became Canadian citizens thereafter. She remained in Ontario for forty years during which time she worked as a medical administrator, then a secretary to two specialist doctors (man and wife).
Upon retirement Norma became a very ardent reader and a devoted volunteer at the library in Kitchener Ontario, learning her skills enough to help establish a new library in her living complex in West Vancouver. She moved to B.C. in 2008 to live and retire.
Norma fought and won one battle with cancer in 2012 but the second battle, after just two months was too much. God rest her soul.
I will be with you soon my love - Brian
