Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorothy Oakley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Dorothy Oakley

Dorothy Oakley
Dorothy Oakley went peacefully to be with her Lord September 24th at the Kiwanis Care Centre at the age of 83. She will be missed by her beloved husband Jim, daughters Beverley and Catherine and granddaughters Amanda and Natalie. She is also survived by her sister Sheila Bromiley (Philip) and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a lovely lady that enjoyed reading, poetry and gardening as well as travel and fashion. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Special heartfelt thanks go to the staff at Kiwanis who cared so well for Dorothy these last 8 years.

There will be a service to remember Dorothy at the Kiwanis Care Centre located at 2444 Burr Place in North Vancouver Saturday October 17th at 1pm.
