Obituary for John Michael "Mike" Wade

John Michael "Mike" Wade
John Michael David Wade

“A man of wit and singular learning, he was a man of excellent quality. For he was a man of strength and gentleness, modesty and affability, a man of mirth and pastimes and sometimes of steadfast gravity – a man for all seasons.”

It is with profound sorrow we announce Mike’s passing June 22nd, 2015 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. His devotion to his family, friends and community was admired and respected by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia Ann (O’Neill) Wade, his 3 daughters – Shannon Wade Petersen (Paul, Wade and Evan), Michelle (Susie) Chubb (Craig, Cameron, Aidan & Bryn) and Sheila Wade (Bailee, Malia, Savary and Cohen). He was predeceased by sons Peter, David and Tom. Mike is also survived by the O’Neill family – John & family of Halifax and Ottawa, “Sheila the Great” of Montreal and family of the late Tom O’Neill of Ottawa and Kingston.
