Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Hugh Taylor can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Steve "Frank is talking"

To my closest friends – Steve and Jill Harrington – and the Taylor Family

May I say Thank you for introducing me to Hugh many years ago in Campbell River.  Right from this introduction I will always have great memories of Hugh’s visits at your home in Campbell River and just how at ease Hugh was when he visited you there. I will always cherish the vast conversations I had with Hugh; the topics were vast and very interesting. I remember core samples I had brought him to test his analysis which was always bang on. (I am certain he wished I had brought scotch instead!)  Never the less the topics were usually a history lesson and while I always enjoyed these, I do remember one particular night,  where many were talking, and where Hugh and I were in discussion when “Steve” had interrupted at some point. It was then that “Hugh” announced to “Steve, Frank is speaking - in a rather bold voice” The room was silenced and the laugh was on.  We still discuss that moment and laugh today.  To Jill, while I know and had seen many times over, you were and are a great daughter with so much compassion for your father and it was so easy to see. To Hugh I say, “Rest in Peace, I will truly miss our conversations”

Your Friend,
