Obituary for Virginia Ellen French (Hirsekorn)
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Virginia French (née Hirsekorn), age 62. She died peacefully on November 30, 2021 surrounded by family in North Vancouver, BC.
Virginia was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on February 16, 1959 and was raised on her family’s farm in Pipestone, Alberta. For the past thirty-four years, North Vancouver has been her home. She is survived by her husband David French, daughter Juliana French (Bill); sister-in-law Marg French, mother-in-law Dorothy French; her mother Miriam Hirsekorn and five siblings Anne Emmett (Tim), Lori Thompson (Norman), Kathleen Hirsekorn (Joe), Grace Jeffrey (Allan), and Richard Hirsekorn (Patricia) and their families. She was predeceased by her daughter Jacqueline French, her father, Edwin Hirsekorn, and her father-in-law, Rod French.
Virginia was known for her loving and caring nature. Her life was dedicated to the people in it: family, friends, neighbours and the community at large all benefited from her kindness.
