It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Sorayya Farzam.
She was predeceased by her mother Salimeh and father Abdullah Farzam.

Sorayya was unique, intelligent, very funny, strong, loving mother and person.
She was headstrong. When she set her mind on something she would get it accomplished no matter the hurdle. When she learned and passed tests without assistance to qualify as a Cosmetologist she was still only learning English and had no formal language lessons. She could speak 4 languages including Arabic and Farsi.

Her interests were her children, her family, poker of course, blackjack, casinos occasionally, cooking different cuisines - none have ever come close to her Persian Arabic dishes. She loved music especially from the 80s or Arabic, dancing, watching soccer, films and had many more interests.

Sorayya will be sorely missed and forever remembered by those who love her.
She is survived by her husband Reza, daughter Elahe, sons Shayan and Omid, and their families.

A funeral service will be held on July 16th, 2021 in Squamish.
