Obituary for Jalal Hamidi

“Jalal was known to light up a room with his beautiful smile. His ability to make others smile through dance, song, jokes, and kindness is missed greatly. He was a free spirit, passionate about books and the world beyond their covers. A soulful person, he was always listening to music and reciting poetry. You usually found him riding his bike through Stanley Park, at the pier in Lonsdale Quay, walking the Dundarave Seawall, or on a trail in the North Shore mountains. He was a creative and generous entrepreneur, who strived to make the world a better place. A loving father, brother, son, and friend, he is mourned deeply. Though he is gone much too soon, he continues to watch over us and light up the world in new ways. We love you Baba.”
