I See The Light

For those who know Bob Deering can say
His enthusiasm for life and laughter was his natural way
Of being the dynamic person he undoubtedly was

Carrying the legal torch in his profession 49 years
Earned him the respect as an attorney easing fears
of those with legal woes
Never asking for renumeration when asked for advice
Always willing to mentor legal minds

His days of skiing and motor boating he enjoyed
His days of travelling, gardening, barbecuing
And his love for wine
His passion for sports cars all entertwined
With the beautiful life
He once had

It's time to say goodbye to his sons and wife
To his step daughter, her husband and his grandchild
To his extended family on both our sides
Without Bob in our lives
An empty one it will be
But the memories of Bob will allow all of us to see
What an amazing individual he was
To everybody

Be gone my dear Bob
No more fatigue no more discomfort
Be free evermore
Be with your family and friends on the other side
I know they are waiting for you and will lead you
Into that warm white light

Promise me you will visit in my dreams
And guide all of us who loved you
Through life everlasting
