June 9, 1953 - December 11, 2019
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Helene Gamon on December 11th, 2019 at Lions Gate Hospital surrounded by loving family.
In joining her brother Joe, she is survived by her husband Bob, Children Ali and Michael, Sisters Thea, Monika, Gabriele, Brother George, and Sister-in-law Lani.
Lorraine was a loving and patient mother and wife, who's calm and intelligent approach to life was a guiding light for everyone around her. As the youngest of a large family she was an unwavering force of reliability and support to her many older siblings, whom all frequently visited her and enjoyed the comfortable loving home she provided. She had a long and meaningful career in speech pathology where she provided children with life-changing guidance on communication. She loved her students and often talked about the humorous things they said and expressed compassion towards their circumstances. Most will remember her for her quiet, loving demeanour, as well as her sometimes sarcastic humour. We were all so lucky we were to have had Lorraine in our lives, and to have shared our moments within her peaceful embrace.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 4768 Woodgreen Drive, with her interment occurring on Monday December 16th, 2019.
A tribute to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation has been created in Lorraine's name for anyone wishing to donate .
