Obituary for Kenneth Mansfield Clarke

KENNETH MANSFIELD CLARKE, 1926-2020.

Ken was born in Hamilton to Donald A Clarke and Lovise Sinclair Clarke. He was predeceased by his older sister Lucille (2016). Ken was the one and only to his wife B. Joan Clarke for 64 years. Together they created a beautiful family, living for many years in Leaside/Toronto; Sue (Steve, later Heather) grands Leah (Raj), Kristen (Stelian) great grands Adriana and Celeste, Peter and Patrick (Fernanda); Paul (Darlene) grands Jordan and Megan (Grady); Ian grands Laura and Kristin (Joe). Ken was our ‘Boppy”. He loved his wife Joan with all of his whole self. He became a hero to all his grandchildren who dared to enter the magic cave with flashlight and protective hat to find treats. Ken gave his best to Phillips Canada, later Lipton Co. where he earned an MBA. In retirement Ken and Joan headed for BC, bought a home and a boat and learned to navigate (at Joan’s command) the Johnstone Strait of the Inside Passage along with a small group of like-minded boating friends. Ken made wine, loved God, served his churches (St Cuthbert’s Toronto; St Andrew’s Sidney, B.C.) He did well without his beloved Joan (2015), but now he’s better. His soul is restored, rest well in the arms of the Almighty and in the company of saints.
