Joseph Stanley Wozny - January 31, 1961 - April 26, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Joe Wozny on April 26, 2022 at the age of 61. Joe fought fiercely after a cancer diagnosis which took his life in four short months.
Joe was a most accomplished man across a range of business and personal endeavours. Joe was the 30 year founder and CEO of pathbreaking digital marketing agency Concentric. Throughout his career, Joe’s expertise and guidance was sought by many corporations and he held leadership roles with successful businesses in the internet, media and publishing fields. Joe’s vision and drive was integral to the success of many startups, various societies and non-profit organizations.
Joe lived a passionate life with a great love of nature and everything that it entailed. He had many favourite places on both Canadian coasts. Joe often said that there were only two seasons - ski season and boating season. He enjoyed doing both - at his favourite mountain Whistler Blackcomb and on the beautiful Howe Sound fjord.
Joe was a rare quality of man: a kind, loving, generous and funny intellectual giant. Always modest about his many achievements, Joe loved playing music with the guys in the band and was first off the mark when it came time to attend Man Camp. He is the reigning “Lions Bay Harvest Festival Pie Champion”. All of Joe’s friends will sorely miss his coveted deliveries of homemade easter bread and culinary delights.
Joe lives on in the hearts of many lives and is cherished and missed by Cheryl Wozny (partner in love, work and play), daughter Megan and son Alex (Cheetah). His loss is mourned by his dearest mother Stella Wozny, (late Stan), father-in-law William Kenny (late Jean), sisters Christine Millward (Ernie), and Sue Wozny (late David Cormier) and brother in law Bernie Kenny (Stacey). He loved his nieces and nephews Ernie Millward (Sonia), Matthew Millward (Denise), Jessica Black (Matthew), Jason Cormier (Stephanie), Adam Kenny (Laura), Ryan Kenny (Nikitta) and his sweet great nieces and nephews.
