Obituary for John William Chesterman
John ‘Ches’ Chesterman passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, February 4, 2022, at Lions Gate Hospital. He was born in Twickenham, England on February 2, 1933. Over the course of his 89 years, he lived in England, Kenya, South Africa, and for the past 24 years, Canada. John was a happy, loving, and kind individual loved by everyone who crossed his path. John spent his working years as a engineering technologist, working on numerous hotels and shopping centres
across South Africa. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and held his passions for tennis and golf well into his later years. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Mary Chesterman, his children, Andrew (Leoni), Michael (Cynthia), and Lisa (Dawid), and his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Joshua, and Sarah. He will be sorely missed!
