In loving memory of our dear sister Fatima (Fay) , who left us sadly without a goodbye! You were always fiercely independent yet very loving to a fault, making your own way in the world. From Kenya, Germany and finally Canada. We will never forget your last holiday with our family - precious times were had. My abiding memory of my dear sister was that she accompanied me to face my bullies at primary school. They were warned off in no uncertain terms. Go well into the night my dear Fay and rest with your deceased family. We, the family, will be holding a memorial on the evening of the 21st February 2019 in Cape Town South Africa. Fondly remembered and never forgotten by all your family in Cape Town. Always your loving brother Yusuf.

I hope that you are happy wherever you are
I have you in my heart no matter how far
To the heavens above, I wish I could fly
Only to give you a warm goodbye
I will remember you each day that I live
You were such a good person
with so much to give
Such a privelige to have known you
No one can deny
I will keep with me the good times that we shared
I just want you to know how much I cared
Till we meet again, On God we must rely
I love, you, I miss you, and for now goodbye
Rest in the arms of the Lord my dear sweet friend

With love, Annemarie van Helfteren

You will be so very missed, my dearest gentle friend. Here is the quote from the piece of paper I found in your purse:

"Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses and prejudice against my fellow man. Give my soul to God."

Fly with the angels, Fay.
