Obituary for Debra Beatrice Rovinelli
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Dr. Debra Beatrice Rovinelli on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Alfio and Cécile (née Lalonde) Rovinelli. She is survived by sons Matthew, John (wife Katherine Reinoso), and Jake, siblings Lisa Sammon (husband Jim Sammon), Ken Rovinelli (wife Jane Rovinelli), and Rena Sproat (husband Jeff Sproat), and many nieces and nephews.
Debra was born January 26th, 1952 in Sudbury, Ontario. She graduated in Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 1974, and launched her career as an Optometrist in the early 1980s in British Columbia.
Throughout the years, she established a successful multi-doctor practice in West Vancouver. In 2020, she retired from the rewarding career she so loved, having been enriched by the most important part of her business: her patients.
She loved family and her community, looked forward to daily conversations with her siblings from Ontario, and spent Winters with them in Florida. May we remember her for her kindness, thoughtful nature and ability to love unconditionally. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity and the positive impact she had on so many, who loved her dearly.
Prayers will be held 7:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, January 28th, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Parish.
Her service will be held Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at St. Anthony's Parish at 12:00pm. A virtual service will be available via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Po1vaWg7zps
