Beverley “Bev” Margaret Van Brunt, age 85, passed away March 31, 2021 after declining health due to Alzheimer’s. She was born July 20, 1935 in Russell, Manitoba to Stanley and Margaret Bicknell and was predeceased by her sister Patricia Conacher. In 1953 at the age of 18, she married her love, Roy Van Brunt, having met him at a teen dance in Winnipeg several years earlier.
Always ready to pack a bag, Bev loved to travel especially driving the back roads of Europe and trips to London and New York to see the theatre. She was a fabulous cook and will be remembered for her many great dinner parties. In addition to entertaining, Bev was talented in sewing and creative projects and enjoyed crosswords and sudokus, bridge, pop music, good bread, pasta primavera, dogs (sorry cats) and fun times with her many close friends.
Bev was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her husband Roy, son Drew (Barbara) and daughter Jay. We are grateful for the love and nurturing she provided our family. We loved her so much and she will be dearly missed.
