Ah Que - Uncle Paul

Uncle Paul was our closest link to our Canadian relatives.  My mother, Fay, Paul's oldest sister, had been left in China when she was 5 years old.  She later married and immigrated to America in 1947.  Through the years, we really appreciated Uncle Paul reaching out to include my mother as part of the Canadian family.

Uncle Paul also became good friends with my father, Voy.  They enjoyed taking weekend trips to Las Vegas.  At my father's funeral, Uncle Paul told us my father had a sense of humor which we never saw, and first introduced Uncle Paul to beer.

Uncle Paul understood the challenges of being born in the western world with immigrant parents.  He helped bridge that gap in my family when he and Aunt Josie attended my sister, Ellen's wedding in an outdoor park. They had convinced my reluctant conservative parents to also attend.

We will always fondly remember Uncle Paul- our modern and youthful Uncle with a generous spirit.
