Condolence From: Graham Clarke
Condolence: With shock, I just learned of the passing of Dr. David Chubb. I was scheduled to see him for my 6-monthly exam. He was a gentle person, soft spoken and professional. He had a reassuring manner which I will most certainly miss. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Condolence From: Valerie (Madill) Young
Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss. Dr Chubb was my ophthalmologist for over 30 years. I saw him annually for about the last 15. He was a kind, gentle, caring man. He was also a friend of my dad's (Dr Stew Madill), I happily relayed "hello" messages back & forth from my visits with Dr Chubb. Sorry I won't be able to attend the memorial service. My thoughts are with your family & close friends during this sad time. Sincerely, Valerie Young

Condolence From: Don Lumb
Condolence: I have known David for 40 years and in time we became members of Capilano . We always enjoyed our driving range competitions during which many humorous exchanges took place which occasionally expanded to the golf course for a few holes. He always generously shared his professional expertise when the occasion arose and treated our family when issues surrounding vision occurred . Regrettably we never managed to get together for dinner with the MacNeil's which is a reminder of the obvious.
Lynne and I will very much miss seeing David on our infrequent visits to the club as he was always good company
Please accept our deepest sympathy on his loss . As mentioned he will be missed.

Sincerely
Don and Lynne Lumb

Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to read of the death of your husband and father. I have been a yearly patient of Dr. Chubb for many years and every six months, for the past couple of years.

As you know, he had a full patient load and as a result, was always late. He and I had an ongoing joke about it. The last time I was there, I finally was called in but the door was still open so we overheard a young man making a repeat appointment. When he asked the recepionist when was the best time to come, I turned to Dr. Chubb and said," He should probably just take a seat now.!" He looked at me in mock horror and I said, " Well, not to worry, we keep coming to you, so you must be doing something right"

And he was. He was professional, kind, gentle, funny and he didn't suffer fools. I liked him and I will really miss him. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
