Eldest sister Fay, my mother, called Uncle Paul "Ah Q". He called her "Ah Day". Surprise visits to our home in Riverside, California were happy occasions, especially after she became a widow and lived alone. My mom appreciated his company, which would often include taking her to lunch or dinner at Coco's Restaurant - such a special treat for her! Uncle Paul - kind, filial, and generous.
