Our family was saddened on June 7, 2014 when our dear brother left us the day before his 65th birthday. Doug was born in Vancouver on June 8, 1949 and spent his entire childhood in West Vancouver. Happy days and many lifelong memories were made exploring the then unspoiled ravines and forests of Ambleside. He was passionate about family, cars, local history, and reminiscing. He enjoyed his friends especially in his early years before the ravages of a traumatic brain injury changed his life. He will be missed by his son Jeremy (Stasia), sisters Bev (Kent), and Jonni (Charles), and brother Craig (Jen), and many nieces. Predeceased by his Father, Mother, and Sister Pat. A picnic at Ambleside will be held during the summer in his memory.
