Personalizing The Service

Personalization

The word “funeral” now encompasses an entirely different meaning than it did ten years ago.  The gloomy depressing connotation is one in which we are striving hard to rid.  A funeral/commemorating a life ceremony is a time to remember the loved one and all the wonderful times they had in their life.  It is a form of remembrance and closure for the living and taking care of your deceased loved one with love and respect.  We work hard to create an experience that will be remembered as one of great tribute and not hardship.

We believe that making the funeral ceremony as meaningful as possible is beneficial not only for surviving family members, but also for those who are in attendance.  A meaningful funeral ceremony coupled with spiritual and traditional or contemporary beliefs assists friends and family walk through their grief together.  It becomes the bridge between the past and the future.

The gathering for the funeral ceremony has many variables from in our chapel, your church, a hotel reception room to contemporary settings on a golf course or the garden at your home, depending of course on weather conditions and upon the number of friends & family who are planning to attend.

Suggestions and questions to help honor and remember your unique person for whom you are planning or pre-plannng a celebration/funeral/gathering, are listed below:

What did they like to do?

What kind of music did they like?

What sports or activities did they participate in?

What was the person like as an individual?

What kind of work did they do? Did they love it?

Where they spiritual?

What did they like to talk about? Family? Heritage?
